The spindle nut socket is 3" and it's an 8 sided nut. Besides the socket for your plugs, start shopping Ebay for a plug wire wrench. They are invaluable when you need one. I forget the plug size but a standard thin wall socket is the best construction. Impact sockets aren't broached deep enough for the socket to go over the plug (typically).

Nuthin wrong with the gassers. They use a little more fuel and accelerate a little slower but you can sneak up of folks with them for sure.
