Soft Top install and Water Proofing question

Hello All,

I plan on installing a new Am Gen 4 man soft top and curtain on my M998. I have two questions.

1) Do you water proof the top and Curtain with anything before or after installation?
2) Any trick or potholes I should watch out for during the removal of the old top and the installation of the new?

I did a search on this subject and came up with nothing. I am a newbie though. Thanks in advance!

1) If the top is new then there should be no reason to use anything to waterproof it. If it leaks then something is wrong.
2) soapy water on the piece that goes into the front channel can help things slide easier. Also easier to use 2 people to install that portion, but not impossible with one.
