Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
Yes, I did. It made no change.Did you ever try and just unplug the lock up solenoid before you removed and pluged it? Seems like every case I have read about or when I had a 939 series truck the button on the range leaver was the problem. Not saying that is the problem in your case but the Allison dealer might not be up on the military set up. Yes the button and the range does two things lock up and transfer case unlock. My stuck button just needed a good shot of WD40 and worked a bit.
That is what I think it is, trying to rule everything else out.Torque converter going bad?
I love it when a shot of WD-40 fixes what seems to be a major problem! My stuck button just needed a good shot of WD40 and worked a bit.
Sandcobra164 I pmed you.Original Poster, 86m1028, why did you delete most of your posts? Did you figure out the issue? If so we'd love to know what you found was wrong and what the cure was. I'll save you any embarrassment by quoting my father. "I'm not smarter than you, I've just lived longer and seen more things". We learn from experiences shared by members on here. My first reply seemed fuzzy but that was only because I could not recall what the button on the transfercase lever truly did. I did recall other's having similar issues caused by it so that's why I suggested it may be a culprit.
