Well I have had my truck for 3 months now. Trying to get it road legal (STILL) but in the mean time I have added a few things, and may change things up a little bit.

The only thing holding me back on inspection is a few dry rotten tires, no money for new ones right now. And work is cutting my hours, so this could get interesting.

They are not much, but work for me for now. I decided to post this when I put a couple of the pics up in another post, so i figured I would share with everyone.

Enjoy.

nice job on the mods they look great .on the engine stop lock did you use two different size tubes and weld the smaller one inside the other or did you smash one tube till it rolled back inside itself:?:

2 tubes, the smaller sit just a little lower and covers the shaft, figure if someone managed, to undue the bigger one, the smaller one would still hold it in place.

Gunboy1656.

Nice variation on the old engine stop lock system. I have seen them done as a "U" shapped strap that slips over the engine stop cable collar, with the lock passing through two holes in the exterior end of the U's legs and set to lock the stop full out. Here in Texas .357Mags tend to be the security system of choice (or M1911 Colts), but you have one on your shoulder there that ought to dissuade anyone from bothering with the truck.
Check with Berg Tire in Fayetteville,NC, they can get you 85-95% treadlife 9:00X20 or 1100R20's if you want to single it, for about $100.00 each plus shipping. I know its not free, but it's cheaper then new.....
I have the same problem here being between jobs, but once one turns up, "Saddam's Nightmare" is gonna get some quick repairs and upgrades, plus tires, to handle the move.

Cheers,

Kyle F. McGrogan:-D
