Spin on Oil Filter Torque

Hey guys I have a spin oil filter kit that im just now getting around to installing and cant find the torque spec. Its from jatonka thanks for any help Dirty

60 ft pounds for the adapter plates and 1.25 turns of the filter after gasket contact with adapter plate. I would also strongly suggest a nice coating of oil on the filter gaskets prior to installing, you will like them John did a very nice job on this kit

Be sure to re-check the torque on your first filter change. 60 FT LBs is correct. the retorque is to compensate for any compression of the gasket over time.

Karl and Rlwm211 have it just right, 60 FT. LBs. then wait a few minutes, retorque and install filters . Retorque at next oil change, and enjoy. JT out
