Spindle studs.

The studs that hold the front spindles on are they grade 8 or 5? I look around and did not find what I was looking for. Thanks

Correct me if I am wrong but I was under the impression that grade 5 hasd a higher shear strength. Do you have old bolts? Look at the head of the bolts they will have markings which will tell you.

There is no marking on the studs. Grade 8 bolts are brittle and grade 5 will stretch some before breaking. I know grade 8 is not always better.
