Starter brace?

I see two different part numbers for the starter brace (ANGLE) are they interchangeable and if so which is preferred.
I will be mounting an early M998 starter on a late GEP turbo if any of that matters.

Later brace replaces the weak one..I have a few.

And the newer style will save your biceps from having to curl 90lbs of starter till you bolt it in, as compared to the newer HOOK style. Just saying..
