starter issues

I have been looking thru the threads and have not seen and answer for my problem. Went outto start my baby, hit the button it fired up and shut down. Went to hit button again and got nothing but clicks. Have power, battries are up.
So is it my starter or solenoid?

Manual says to jump across the solenoid, just have not gotten that far.
