Can any tell me what this starter is for? NSN 01 168 7891, ser.#9143168, Mil.#-s-3785.

Does anyone have an NSN number referance list? I know some parts have been crossed over, but is there somewhere that has a more complete list? Thanks

I don't know if this is the right forum but they look to small to be for a m35 or 5 ton

This starter is for an M998, possibly others.

According to tpub.com, the starter is referenced in TM 9-2320-387-24p, which LOGSA shows to be the M1113 series HMMWV.

So it is a HMMWV starter that will not fit the 6.2l

Check out Truck Repair Part NSN's - ArmyProperty.com According to this list, it fits the M993.

I found two rebuilt ones, the guy only wants core for them. Do you know what thats worth?

Sorry, I have no idea. It would be good to know if it fits multiple applications.
