I have searched I did not find the info but where can I buy parts to rebuild my 24v starter at home? If we can do the alts. why cant we source parts to rebuild the stock starters. Does anyone have any info on this?

That kit is the correct one for the old style large direct drive 27MT starter.

However on closer inspection of their website, The 12v and 24v kits share the same part number. I would call and verify before ordering.

The smaller gear reduction starter uses a different kit.

That link does not work for me.

:shrugs:

Works for me, no problem. I'm guessing the problem is that you are just an inherently inferior life form.

 Juuust kidding!

Maybe a browser issue? I'm using Firefox. I see they are using Active Server Pages. Some older browsers may choke on that particular Microsoft stupidity.
