Anyone have any STE/ICE cables, adapters and/or parts they would be willing to part with for free, a reasonable fee or trade? I've got the STE/ICE unit, but I think I am short several cables and adapters...

I guess the first thing you would need would be the Manuals... Then you would know what parts you are missing.. The device is useless in the field and would be fun in a lab environment...

What is the STE/ICE kit good for? Maybe troubleshooting sensors? or the lighting/electrical system? The engines in the deuces aren't electronic, so how would you use them?

I've got the manuals, just need most of the transducers and some of the cables. I've got most of the adapters. Wish I had the transducers and was missing the adapters, I can buy the adapters at a plumbing supply.

Bo,
I see these sets on e-bay all the time. Frank's Surplus has had them complete and as parts on many occasions. The following is on ebay right now:
STE ICE M38 M37 M715 M151 CUCV M998 M35 M54 900 series Item number: 330144034123

No, I'm serious. I can't see a system on the deuce that needs anything like that...well, maybe an A3. What would it accomplish on a multi or the deuce in general?

As I mentioned before, anything electronic is useless in the field.. Most of the folks in the maintenance section these days are replacement specialists... Know nothing about function, just whether something works or not and just replacing it.. The simplified test equipment, internal combustion engine was an attempt to make diagnosis easier, but you can see how complex it is... nice for the lab... not under field conditions...all you need in the field is a towbar.
