I'm off to a slow start but here we go. I purchased my 5 ton after selling my Deuce. GA Military Truck get together or whatever it is called nowadays was too far away to enjoy in a Deuce at roughly 190 miles each was from home. I also had pressure from people buying heavier trailers from the base very near my hometown. Full Air vs Air Assisted Hydraulic Brakes came into the equation as well. I bought a worker and he does that well. He may not be the cleanest truck on the list but he works hard, has earned his keep and has attended two consecutive GA together's!

The real reason you need to vote for him is he does great with kids, he hangs out with a Gun Truck from time to time, and his name is General Non-Sense!!!

No, this impressive picture we found in the web.airport tug.jpg But it is similar to our 406.145
aircraft tug.
Last Saturday we meet the director of the museum "Allies In Berlin " which is located on the edge of the Tegel Airport TXL area.
Luckily he showed us some of his treasures and gave us the opportunity to shoot some pics. Our Unimog aircraft tug near by some veteran allied maschinery.

These are great pics, Migginsbros. The campaign trail is really getting worked HARD here this month. :jumpin:

That's a super shot of the U.S. Army caboose, do you mind if I post it up on the "Temporary Railroad" thread?

I bet they're some people who might get a kick out of it. Is that OK?

Some more informations and pictures to campaign our UNIMOG aircraft tug 406.145 this month.
As we purchased our MV we realized that you can tug whatever you like up to 30 tons but
PICT2037.jpgdue to the heavy extra load ( 2,6 t.) over the rear axel the tug wangles and you can´t go quick and fast at urban traffic.
First we change the shocks absorbers then we figure out how much weight we must carry to go quick but with save contact pressure on the rear axel.
Now we build us 2 off 0,4 ton each. Together with the actuell mounted 12,5 x 20 wheels we can now drive relatively quick up to 55 miles.

So we build our own from old measuring tables.unimog 2016.jpgunimog 2025.jpgunimog 2031.jpgunimog 2043.jpgunimog 2049.jpgWe paint the weights so they look like original from a distance.unimog 2064.jpgunimog 2061.jpg
:jumpin:Campaign,Campaign Campaign, we had a lot of work, a lot of fun but no grenades, machine gun and mines so far.;-) Elect this unique SS member vehicle.

A four-seasons campaign. You work it HARD, Migginsbros!

Love the crane shots (and I'm not talking lifting). Do they come up from Africa, do you know?
No, they come from the south of France and Spain then they stay for Summer in the middle of Europe. Most of the cranes we see in the North of Germany stopp for a rest and eat. Then carry on their journey to Skandinavia.
