Steering box freeplay adjuster

I have a steering box problem with my mule and when I set the freeplay slack right or left of center, the steering binds when the tires are pointed straight ahead. I have asked around a little and have heard from others and they have seen something similar on their mules. I ran across a spring loaded slack adjuster that just 'might' be a solution. Does anyone have any experience with this product?
