Mercedes benz Unimog 404s have them. They clamp onto the steering column and are driven by a cogged collar under the steering wheel hub. Shouldn't be too hard to adapt.

That's about what I figured. I'll be using this to adapt to a rear steer M715 with Rockwells, as a widget.
