Whenever I start the truck the volt gauge needle is stuck at the bottom and I have to tap it to get it to release. Aside from that it works perfectly. Is there some sort of lube or cleaner I can spray into the back of it. Or can I repair easily, or should I just buy ah new one?

maybe it is a loose connection.

The gauges are sealed. If you are crafty enough you may be able to open it if needed. Be aware that the leads are live at all times. Disconnect you batteries.

Mine does the exact same thing. The needle goes all the way to the left and stays there. Even after I replaced it with a take out. I was watching some numbered gauges on the popular action site. Just have not purchased one yet.

Faulty gauge, the needle drags on the dished area of the back plate where the scale is. I took mine apart and bent the needle towards the crystal to correct. The bezel can be carefully pried off to do this.
