Sunday downtime

Folks, the forum is going to be unavailable tomorrow for a downtime. I need to upgrade the software. Also I plan on adding a new section/feature as well.

That took a bit longer than expected, but it's complete. Now to do a little more housekeeping and start rolling out a few new features.

I can't get to the site anymore from my PC with IE 8.5, windows 11 browser.

I get This Page Can't Be Displayed
Check the Address and Your Connection

Went to a friend and used his machine with Microsoft Edge and worked fine.
Is this a result of the upgrade?
And means I need to get a newer PC?

No, it shouldn't be related. Do you mean Windows 8.1 and IE 11? I know the pages load on IE 11. But I don't have a 8.1 windows device to test that on. Are you using https://www.steelsoldiers.com or just http://www.steelsoldiers.com. Either should work, just trying to think through the issue on your computer.

Yes Windows 8.1 IE 11 and I never had a problem until recently.

Neither of the two address's will work https or http which will automatically change to https.

Today I downloaded Microsoft edge on my PC (Win.8.1) due to increasing number of sites
Informing me to update my browser.

Steel soldiers will load fine on edge for me now, but not on IE 11 if I open that browser.
