Hi Guys,

Having taken my Supacat out on some local trails, I am now heading out cross country. This is where everything starts to get interesting because if I get stuck then I am going to have a real big problem, on my hands, to extract. There is nothing around here on wheels which will get to these places.

The soils is saturated peat on top of impervious rock, plenty of glacial debris spread liberally around too. Stones of all sizes and some rocks which can be 20 feet long and 6 or 8 feet the other ways. there are also outcrops of rock where all the soil has been eroded away. Hollows tend to be filled with mostly peat, saturated right to the top and forming pools in many places.

Hey Dave, do you know Dave Dunn? He's gonna have one of these Supacats here in Ca. in a few weeks. He's got some interesting equipment. Wonder if would let me be the son he never wanted?

I certainly do know Dave Dunn. We chat regularly on Skype, I am slightly envious of his ex Canadian DART Supacat (Canadian Defense bought 10 of these machines). It is the latest Mk2A and very little different to the Mk3 - 1.9 turbo diesel and 4 speed box, plus a heavier duty chain drive.
Dave sure is a really nice guy, though he doesn't suffer fools very well. I have another posting on members rides showing my Unimog and heavy DRASH (Deployable Rapid Assembly SHelter) trailer.

very cool pics David.
I saw and responded to your post on the "6x6" website, too.
What is the diesel engine used in those?
Thanks
