Synthetic oils

Has anyone used snthectic oil in there deuce Engine or axles & tranny?
I know synthetic oils can leak with older seals and gaskets....

I use Amsoil in my daily drivers with great sucsess!!

I haven't yet but hope to change everything out before winter.

With the reduced cold weather drag and the price of diesel fuel I can live with a little leakage.

We've done many hundreds of synthetic oil switch overs on all types of cars and trucks in the last 10 years and I can't remember a leakage problem we created by doing the switch over. I disagree that switching will cause a problem - it's really an urban legend.

I can say from personal experience that switching to synthetic oils has save me money on fuel and engine repairs. Basically, I've had zero internal engine problems since I went to 100% synthetic oils.

They cost more, but IMHO they are worth it.
