well guys I have bought 2 tachs and neither will work on my Humvee 998 someone gave me a new m35a3 tach and someone on this list mentioned they will work on the Humvee I don't know what motor is in a m35a3 6 cyl or 8cyl . has anyone used one of these tach on their Humvee this tach has a 6 prong cannon plug on the back

On a happier note I did get my 24volt winch mounted on the rear of my 998 and turned out nice

I tested 2 ea. hmmwv type Tach's, and the one with the buss bar connection works with the tach drive on back of motor.
The one with the round connector did not work with tach drive.
It needs to be wired up to an alternator wire.
