TC Leak... Air Piston

I have a few more gaskets and seal to swap out but I have a question about the air piston seal in the front of the TC... The bolts are looking really close to the cross member as is the unit... Can that be pulled in the frame or should I fly that thing out while the cab is off to do it?

Cab off or on, the best moment to change that piston seal and gaskets is when the TC is off the truck, or at least lowered a few inches. Otherwise you could possibly pull srews & lockwashers, cover, shifter shaft nut & washers, piston assy.and finally the cylinder, but it's a lot of tricky work, difficult to see what you are doing and the risk to get dirt inside.

Once, I tried to do it, with the TC in place...

I searched and did not find it. While I have my transfer case out putting new bearings in, I was thinking about putting a new seal on my air shift transfer case piston. I think this a speciality part I can only get online. Mine works 100% fine, I was just thinking since I have it out of the truck, I could change it. Should I change the seal or leave it alone? Any opinions?
