TDM burnt out

Anyone having issues with their TDM connector burning out? This is my 2nd one to go out, it seems like the cadallac valve plug went bad too. I got a new TDM and the fan is still stuck on. I just changed the TDM and cadillac valve a month ago, my guess is the connector in the Cadillac valve had shorted

That isn't a very high amperage circuit, so there would likely have to be something else wrong for the connectors to go bad.

Sounds like it's time to break out the multimeter and figure out exactly where the issue is, rather than throwing more parts at it.

Ya connectors like this melting means you have a short somewhere, possible intermittent, but definitely shouldn’t have connector problems.

I'm with Camo, there is not allot going on there, pretty simple stuff and the valve does not pull much current, certainly not enough to burn connectors.
There is allot of copycat crap out there, on the auction sites you have to be very careful as they LOOK pretty good, even some sellers with recognizable names are selling crap.
The seller above has no HMMWV parts listed at this time.
At the very least I always ask if the parts I want to buy are factory or not, then proceed with caution.

Before I knew any better, I bought a correctly marked washer pump.. 23 months later, the pump rotted out inside and is now shorting to ground, and destroyed the switch on the washer motor. (So THIS TIME, I went to one of the well know sellers of 'real' goods and bought a new one. Hopefully going to avoid that expensive lesson again.)

Yea, you're right, I bought a TDM before this one and it looked extremely flimsy and cheap to the point I decided to toss it on the side

Copycat parts are very prevalent, some have even found there way into completely legitimate parts "suppliers"
The government have bought many illegitimate parts, I have certainly bought my share of crap parts, that is a byproduct of bargain hunting.
There are certainly tons of "good" deals out there just sometimes you end up eating a bowel of POO

Mine went out last week on one of my rigs. I just unplugged it to let the fan run all the time. I’m just glad I noticed the temps creeping up.
