We just had another flash flood in the South. Down by Garmisch, near Grainau. Its called, translated, the Valley of Hell. Back in the 80's, the first time I walked along the path next to the creek, I turned to my Wife and said, "If there was ever big rain up at the top of the Valley, you would never make it out of here alive". She looked at me like I had lost a few screws. The others around us, just laughed. One of the two people swept away, was from a small town about 8 klicks from my house. 33 years old. The other person, her partner, still hasn't been found, and its been about 10 days since it happened.
