Teppert tool winch

Greetings. My fire department recently bought a 1970 M35 w/w Kaiser for use as a brush truck. While doing winch refresher operations (it has been almost 20 years for the vets in the FD) we noticed that the cable is in need of replacement. I am trying to determine if the 1/2" cable that is on the winch is the correct one. There is no data plate for the winch, other than the Manufacturer plate: Tappert Tool. we are not even sure of the winch rating, as it is unreadable. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to find the info that we may need? Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

200 feet of 1/2 IPS 6x9 fabric core wire rope is what you need.
