A few days ago, I was frustrated in my back yard trying to separate the steering knuckle from the axle yoke, I gave up and started to consider asking the good folks on SS for some assistance. Keep in mind that the only reason I had gotten that far in the first place was reading TM -20.
While I was trying mentally to formulate the question and explain where I was stuck, an elvis avatar popped up and said: read the TM's.
Pulled up TM-34, sure enough, there was a perfect explanation.
