So, I see a tender coming up at my "militery shop" and go view an ex US army ambulance. hmm I rather like that thinks I...As I allready have one it would be good to tinker with or for spares (as the ash tray is full on the other!, (joke I do not smoke)). So I get my lad to take a day off work and off we trundle to the disposal joint...He was going to film the rcovery..but ran out of battery power on his mobile. AHA! but..it ran out in a good cause..I driving at my usual pace 2000 rpm 40 mph....and he films going round a bend in anear village..BUT THEN...further into the journey and approaching a T junction we see a large high speed tractor and trailer WELL bogged down on the nearside verge. HO says I to the lad..he could use some help or what?.. I pull slowly parralell to the cab..where I spot a LADY farmer (pleading?) on her mobile! AS we stop she turns and EYES WIDE in disbelief waves a hand in frantic motions. YOU could use some help I shout..she looks very reieved. (yas at this point I know I post about shackles blocks and other good stuff but I'm running late for my pickup.) so we hook up with a chain..(she and two farmers stand WELL clear and one other farmer kid gets in ..duly instructed to go steady and "follow me"that trailers going to tip over the woman wails..OHHHH NO it isn't says I i'ts going to follow my hardy old truck there, first pull the chain jumps links..OK we hook up with my 45ton chrome lifting chain! and with ALL wheels spinning we "hoik" that sucker out of the "middin". with all phones photoing..and sighs of relief. We de=kit get a HUGE thank you and go off to my recovery of the ambulance. still pics when we got it home VIDS en route Including the "favour"
