Did a GL preview today, the GL trucks were mixed in with FMS hold trucks.

So I am methodically going from truck to truck with my note book.
and I walk up to my truck..........wait a minute my trucks at home!
yea it was hot & humid and I had sweat in my eyes. after the double take I realized it was a M35A2 and not a M36A2 as my son walked up saying "thats crazy, this is just like yours"
But it was tan, had a winch, hardtop and IIRC a 3 color cargo cover
and a full set of 11 Michelin XL 1100R20's (this was a FMS truck)

Just like I put on mine!

Bob, everytime I see your truck, I kick myself for not bidding on it! Glad it went to a good home, though. I just could not pull the trigger since it was so far from me.

A little while after I got my truck, there were a couple of M35a2s at GL in San Antonio with 11 nice new 11.00 x 20 Goodyear G177's on them. I knew that was what I wanted for mine, but hadn't bought yet. I bid those trucks up to the value of the tires ("Really dear, I am just buying the tires, not another truck".....), but they went at basically the value of the truck + the tires.

It was cool to see "They did use em that way".

Bob, the foreign govenrment that truck is reserved for saw your truck and wanted one identical to it. So your truck's twin was created from spare parts.
