Just did the mod. Works great. Solid 'clunk' when energized. Take a look at how small the windings are in the OEM relay! Also, when I got the relay bar out, I noticed the GEN 2 relay was missing! After a quick trip to AdvanceAuto and $12, my GEN 2 light now works!

When I opened my old relay up, I was surprised how dirty the inside was, and there wasn't much left on the contact points. And a cheap design. It was just a matter of time before something bad would have happend. This is a must do mod.

Mine was quite clean but the contact bar and the extremely small wirings do not yell heavy duty.
