tiny tach erratic

hi this is my first post here been lingering for a bit lots of great info per this site i ordered and installed a tiny tach in my truck i tried the search function but didnt seem to see my answer was wondering if any one else has a problem with the tach beign very erratic in its reading it jumps all over the place the only time it seems to be ok is when im cruising at 55 on the highway for a bit would love to here some feed back thanks:cookoo:

I have a pulse adaptor for a timing light that works by clamping onto the injector metal line. I have found it has to be on a straight section of line, not even near a bend. How the ground clip is attached and how far from the clamp makes a difference as well.

Calling Tiny Tach does seem like the best way to approach this though.

I have had a tiny Tach and it has always worked really well for me, when it is really cold out it takes a few seconds to warm up.
