Please provide a reference to where you find the G177 is a drive tire only.

Thanks 3 Percenter, I had not seen that before. There sure are a lot of 5 tons with what I think are the standard G177 on the front. My 925 has them.

And I'll tell you... I'd put the G278 MSD in a 425/65R22.5 size on the front (that match the 11.00/20 rear duals in dia.) in a heartbeat...and they are a drive tire.

They are all std G177. According to the specs above, there are no OTR or self sealing (although all G177's claim to do that) available in 20".

Do the 5 Ton trucks have 20 inch rims or 24inch? The G-177OTR is only made in 12.00-24 I think. I've not researched the 5 Ton much. But after I get my Deuce done, I think a 5 Ton will be next on the list. Oh, The Green Fever!!! Lol.

None that I know of are 24". None are 22.5. 20" is on all 5 tons. The deuce A3 rims are considered "metric" and would take a 365/80R20 or a 14.5R20 which has the same dia as the 11.00R20. Those 2 tire sizes will NOT fit the industrial rim of the 5 tons however.
