For those who didn't know and we not involved in it. This was passed a few months ago, but just became law on July 1st. Please put a copy of this law in the same pocket as your registration/insurance in the event you are stopped.

We are working on getting Historic military vehicle specific plates, give us some time.

For those who can't read it very well it reads the following:

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 55, Chapter 4, Parl1, relative to the display ofregistration plates on certain vehicles.BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEESECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 55-4-110, is amended by adding thefollowing as a new subsection (d) and redesignating the existing subsection (d) as subsection (e):(dX1) As used in this subsection (d), "historic military vehicle" means a vehicle,including a trailer, that is at least twenty-five (25) years old at the time of makingapplication for registration, was manufactured for use in any country's military forces,and is maintained to represent the vehicle's military design and markings, regardlessof the vehicle's size or weight.(2) An owner or operator of a historic military vehicle is not required to displaythe vehicle's registration plate on the vehicle in accordance with this section. ln lieu ofsuch display, the owner or operator shall maintain the vehicle's registration plate inthe vehicle and produce the plate for inspection upon the request of any lawenforcement officer.SECTION 2. This act shall take effect July 1 ,2019, the public welfare requiring it.
