To cover or not to cover that is the question....

I'm debating about having a canvas (or rubberized vinyl) cover made for the MEP-016A I'm working on. It's going to be stored in an open air "overhang" on the side of my garage. I'n not sure if it's a good idea or not to have a fitted cover on it or just leave it uncovered.

I cover the top of generators but make sure there is space for plenty of ventilation at the bottom, and also since I'm in the crappy weather region, I need to make sure the cover doesn't freeze to the trailer! Having the cover makes it nice to clean off when needed (ASK, requires opening the top covers, which you don't want iced closed). Just don' try to seal it tight.
