I won the following items:

1) M927 Truck in Indianapolis: http://www.govliquidation.com/auction/view?auctionId=6298764

2) M931A2 Semi tractor in Sparta, WI: http://www.govliquidation.com/auction/view?auctionId=6292728

I wanted to try to use both of them in my commercial activities of buying, selling, and scrapping industrial equipment. Highway Speed is not really essential to me, I do a lot of city driving. 6x6 ability, however, is very helpful as we often drive in problematic areas, abandoned yards etc,

I have a CDL driver, do not have CDL currently myself, but I want to get one soon, I already passed the theory test for class A CDL.

I will be picking up with my semi truck and this hydraulic beavertail trailer (see thumbnail). I hope that we can drive the M927 on it.

Nice trucks. I was bidding on a bunch of them at Sparta but shipping to CT from there is expensive so the price has to be right for me.

When you pick up the 927, get pics of the clearance between the trailer and truck. I think it is going to be very close.
Yes, I am also very concerned, with the long wheelbase. We may put some timbers in front of the "hump" to lessen the effect. Also, we will try to lift the beaver tail up a bit before the whoe truck drives over the hump, for the same reason. I will go together with my driver.

$4,400 is overpaying for a rebuilt M927? Wow. Times change. Or, possibly perspectives change. I am curious what you guys hoped you reasonably would get a rebuilt M927 for.

Bruce, I spent a while googling govliquidation for similar trucks, looks like most go for 7k if reported drivable. I think that I actually did OK.

Ryan77,
Does the Mayor of Chicago allow you to park that truck in the city?? I was born and raised on the SW Side/ Midway Airport. Not much room in the city for these MVs.

Yeah, I think you did VERY well. That is a nice truck, and so is your tractor, which I think you stole! Great job.
