The axe and pick mattock are available at hardware stores that look very similar to original once you paint them so. The shovel can be bought made by the original manufacturer (True-Temper I think) but the handle is about 2 inches too long (these are available at hardware stores also). From a thread on here somewhere, I read about pulling the little pins that hold the D-handle to the wooden part of the handle. Then cut off the excess length and reshape the end using an appropriate tool. Some used a lathe but I used a wood rasp with the handle chucked in a vice. Then reattach the D-handle and paint in your favorite MV color. Maybe not exactly original but new and close to in appearance. An added beauty of not being original is that I do not hesitate to actually use the tools as intended.

I tend to agree with Vped you can buy ones very close to original at the hardware store or get some original military versions both are going to do the job if you plan to use them and leave them on the truck I would look at the plastic reinforced handles they tend to handle the weather better I think and you can paint them green if you like. I have some military original tools and they are even going to the plastic on some tools, so it is up to you and if you look you can find some to fit.
