REB87, thanks for your response. I own an M917 and M916 and while both were rebuilt in 2007, neither have lockers. Thanks, again!

my 919 dosent have lockers either. The m916a1 and newer sure are appealing with lockers, but I dont understand why they went 4spd instead of 5 or more. Its weird that the 916a1 has 12 less gears than the 916 but I guess the 2sp transfer case makes up for that a little. I thought if the tranny ever dies on my m920 or 919 I might try to swap in a 915a1 allison and 2spd tcase from the m916a1 type trucks...

you could always get a 7sp allison with intergrated t case off of GL for pretty cheap, I don't know if they would hang with the power though.
