I've hauled over 60 deuces an average of 200 miles each trip with my '07 2500 Duramax and a triple axle 21K trailer with no troubles except cheap trailer tires not holding up. If everything is in good working order everything works great. The brakes on the trailer are designed to stop the trailer and load so it's not much more to ask of the brakes on the pull truck.

This is so no big deal a good gooseneck and your 250 Will do the jab with no problem. I have hauled everything w my 2500hd including a 16000 lb motor-grader. I say aslong as you have good trailer brakes an good tires GO for it!

I have hauled several deuces (one a M109) on our 28 foot dual axle gooseneck pulled by a Dodge 3500 dually with automatic and Cummins diesel. Good tires are your friends.

Make dam sure the brakes on the trailer are working.

One issue you are going to have is how to load it without brakes. Putting it in Low Range, Low gear will get it up on a trailer and the if the handbrake is working you can stop it.

See if anyone locally has a "Hotshot Rig".....basically the same setup as mentioned above. Their rates are usually lower than a full sized rig.

My buddy has a big rollback and has hauled a couple of deuces for me and other folks around here.
