Thanks for sharing. How far did you have to go and how did it handle? I'm going to be flat towing a deuce out of Hooks once my EUC clears.

All the way out? This is a fixed bar. No adjust-ability at all. So why did i tow with like that, cause that is where it is and there isn't anywhere else it can go:D

It weighs about 150lbs. i believe it is a Hemmit. It towed great. Just put the Tcase in Neutral. Through my Blinking light on the top in the back, aired up the tires good and took off. it was a little rough getting it out of the lot. The dirt does not want to steer the tank truck good and I had to get out a few times to correct the steering on the Tank truck. Once on the pavement I had no problems. I ended up having to go 32 miles. One bridge was questionable so I opted to go around. it would have been a 10 mile journey. I did get it up to about 60 mph with no problems.

It was a lot of fun. But one of the best things that happened was having the chance to meet a man that has served this country in 3 wars. I stopped on the side of a small road to put air in the front tires and this gentleman came from the yard across the street where he was mowing with a push mower. He introduced himself and said, "I am 87 years old. I have served in three wars and probably drove that truck." He then told me a story about having to haul 3 of them in on chains with his in front. He was very interesting and it made the short trip even better. Next week, we are set up to go for a ride and have lunch. Gotta here more stories.

As for my plans, i never start anything with one.:D there is quite a bit of rust on it. I plan to see if it runs and how well. beyond that I have not decided anything yet.

Here is a good Aggie Joke for you:

A&M said they could not get it to start and that the 6 volt system was shot. They had two 6 volt batteries they where trying to start it with. 2 years ago it was driven from Fort Polk to Beaumont, TX.

I just saw the last pictures and like I always say, be careful of what you wish. Wayne
I usually say, know the whole story. it had already been dropped. I threw it back up to take and pic. I am sure you are commenting on the pins? And if you had looked closer you would have seen that the first pics is the scary one.

And I would know this HOW, maybe by ESP?
I'm glad you didn't tow that way I just hope nobody get the ideas from your picture that is a safe way of doing it. Wayne
