Toyota gun truck build anyone?

Just wondered if anyon had given any thought to building out a Toyota "technical" gun truck like you see all over the news. If you have thought about it, what are the challenges you have considered?

I wouldn't mind having one, but it is down the list a ways.

As a show only piece I think it would be neat. I wouldn't want to drive one around in public.

It would be a fun project. You could liberate your neighborhood from all the local dictators. I agree. You'd want a way to "demil" it for regular daily/public driving.

I'd be all over it if I could find one of the mounts they use in the bed.
Nice but I'm talking about the big monster with the chair and all the cranks on it.
That one there looks like my HMMWV but mine has a bigger squirt gun

I rolled around in one during OEF1 in 2001-2002. Toyota Tacoma SR5 from TRD. As far as a gun mount, there was just a receptacle thingy at the top of our roll bar. You could put a pintle mount in it but it was only really useable for forward engagement. An extender with a flex mount would work. The largest thing we carried was a 240 anyway, so I might have just resurrected this for nothing. Oops...
