Greetings,

I was asked to provide a listing of parts to have on hand for the MEP-802 and 803A gen sets. All parts are the same for the MEP-802A and MEP-803A generators in this case.

The following parts in red are service parts. By TM, figure number, Item number, NSN and Army part number. As of yet, I have no civilian part numbers.

The parts in blue are things I would have on hand, higher failure rate, and cheap.

The primary fuel pump is a show stopper if it goes bad. Was kinda expensive a while back, not sure about now. You can replace it in a pinch with the Aux. Fuel pump if you dont mind bending your steel fuel lines a tad.

The Aux. fuel pump filter needs to be changed only when you use the Auxiliary fuel option often or for long time periods.

There are lots of other parts that I would keep on hand if I had loads of money. Nice to have things and of course the show stoppers. But they are expensive if you buy them from a vender. If you can get a junk generator cheap, good source of extra parts.

Hi Jerry. Welcome to SS. Do you have manuals for this set? I ask because you should really download a copy of the -24P (Exploded Parts Diagram manual). If you have never used these manuals... they are a treasure trove of information! I will help you with this request directly though, in hopes that you can see how easy it is to hunt items down yourself.

So you grab the -24P here: https://www.steelsoldiers.com/upload/Generators/TM9-6115-642-24P.pdf

Take a few minutes and see exactly how information-rich this manual really is. The items you want are first seen on PDF Page 42 (in diagram), and information for it on Page 44 (item #9). In the fourth column is a part number. Take that part number, and dump it into Google or similar. if no results, add the phrase 'pressure gauge' after it.

In this case, you will find a link to the exact item you are looking for (in this case, on Green Mountain Generators). You can end your search, or continue on. GMG is a great resource for information too. Under their 'additional information' tab on that gauge, you will see that they often list both the National Stock Number (NSN) of the item, as well as select manufacturer names and their respective part numbers. Often times you can use that exact information to find it sold somewhere in normal civilian (non surplus) channels!

With all that said... I might also have one of these gauges available. I have an 802 that I am parting out... just need to test the gauge. It worked splendidly before I decided to part the machine.
