Greetings,
I was asked to provide a listing of parts to have on hand for the MEP-802 and 803A gen sets. All parts are the same for the MEP-802A and MEP-803A generators in this case.
The following parts in red are service parts. By TM, figure number, Item number, NSN and Army part number. As of yet, I have no civilian part numbers.
The parts in blue are things I would have on hand, higher failure rate, and cheap.
The primary fuel pump is a show stopper if it goes bad. Was kinda expensive a while back, not sure about now. You can replace it in a pinch with the Aux. Fuel pump if you dont mind bending your steel fuel lines a tad.
The Aux. fuel pump filter needs to be changed only when you use the Auxiliary fuel option often or for long time periods.
There are lots of other parts that I would keep on hand if I had loads of money. Nice to have things and of course the show stoppers. But they are expensive if you buy them from a vender. If you can get a junk generator cheap, good source of extra parts.
