I (my vol FD) has received a DOD surplus trailer which is located at AP Hill in VA. Need some help getting it picked up/removed from base. Trailer is a 2 axle flatbed (car hauler style) with a firefighting system installed. Approx 5500lb 20ft. Pintle hitch with a 7pin RV style electrical connector.

I'm not sure yet how going to get it back to Iowa but have to get it off base.

Anyone in Northern Va that can help?

Ditto... but not until Jan sometime. My POV is perfectly capable, just need the correct hitch.

Bikeman, if you have a 2" receiver you can get a combo hitch at Tractor supply. 3 balls and a pintle, rated at 10,000 pounds.
I always forget to check TSC. I'd really just rather get a HMMWV version on a plate. I have the Class IV receiver and such. POV = 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 w/Cummins

Will check actual width with mfg. Manual says 86" but not sure correct.

Don't have move to Iowa figured out (who/how). Might not be able until spring.
