THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE MANUAL FOR A 10-TON 123a1c tractor show a diagram of a 24 volt supply to the temp. ga. and to temp. sender on trans. The sender is marked as a 12 volt , QUESTION , will the 24 volt damage the 12 volt sender? Will the gauge still give me a temp. reading?

Does it have an MS number? Is it a switch for a "dummy" light or a sending unit for a gauge?

My 5-ton uses a #M12285/1 (305°F), which is a switch and would not be harmed by a higher voltage.
