I know a few members who have run the big tires on stock rims and they have not had problems. I am glad you stuck to your guns. The truck looks **** good!

I really like my 395's. Had them on a year now.

BTW akonitony. If you had no problem taking the tires off of your 16.5 inch rims it was because they have no saftey beads in the rim. Most tubeless rims have a saftey bead in the rim that the bead of the tire has to pop over to be seated properly. Since the 16.5 rims don't have this the tires can almost fall off with no air pressure in the tire. I'm just sayin'.

yup i used 1400x20 tubes and used the stock flapes. look ahead of time though it took me 2 days and a **** load of phone calls to track the tubes down. Apparently this size is pretty uncommon.

You can run your stock 9.00 20 tubes. I have for a year cause I did not want to spend the $35 per 14.00R tube. However I am starting to repace the 9.00 tubes with 11.00/13.80R tubes and 14.00R tubes when I get a flat. Why the mix of tubes? Cause I could not get enough of either size to get all the tires I needed to get done. I had two I needed to do for my 5 ton, 11.00 20's and a few I needed to do on the 395's. All I could get walking into the tire wharehouse was two 14.00 tubes and the rest 11.00/13.80's. I think I will be using the 11.00/13.80's from now on as they were $25 ea.

If you have a problem finding a wholesale tire wharehouse near you try and find a tire repair and service shop or a truck stop and ask them how much they get for a tube.
