Turbo fan shroud

If installing a 6.5L turbo in a M998 dose one need the turbo fan shroud? what is the difference?

the factory turbo hmmwv have a longer cooling stack and an extended nose (headlight section). That fan shroud is fiberglass and longer than the standard shroud.
But the H1 turbo did not use the longer stack.

Until you asked I didn't know there was a Turbo Shroud. My 1987 M998 has a 1990's era 6.5TD stuffed in it using the original cooling stack and we seem to be doing fine.
