Ok,

Got my 1028A3 going after 5 long years. Problem, when I turn on the headlights, both of the turn signal indicator lights on the dash light brightly, like they would if you were using the flashers or turn signals. ALL lights function normally. . . . turns, fourways etc....

Is this a ground issue or something else? I'm at a loss on this one, I've never seen this before and I've owned this model Chevy since I was 16

Look at the light sockets. They are screwey. The ground wire in them is not permanent. It pulls apart from the socket, and has a little metal tab that breaks off, that is the proble, on most I have seen. 5.99 at autozone....

Check the cluster ground by the parking brake.
Also the headlight grounds at the core support.
More importantly check the ground at the Parking light bulbs.
Have seen more than once on all 70's and 80's C/K trucks loose this ground and illuminate the turn indicator.
