Two Tank

I was thinking about installing a small tank for diesel when I am starting and shutting down my truck(M100. Anyone set a system up like this?

One tank WMO, one Diesel. Start and stop on diesel, run on WMO(80/20)

Old distillate and diesel tractors had those in the 30's and 40's, so it's been done. Probably putting a 2 gal. gravity tank under the hood with a way to remotely open and close fuel line valves would be all you need to do. The hardest part would be to rig up the linkage to operate the valves.

I would think switching from one to the other wouldn't be too bad but then what do you do with the return line?? What's your main concern for doing this? I run WMO mixed with gas or diesel. Starts up just as good as straight diesel for me.

The Waste Veg Oil burners do this all the time. Look up Golden fuel systems or greascar to give you some ideas. When I use the mixture mine will start just has to grind a little more than pure diesel.
