Hello all, I thought I would post some pictures of my almost finished 1942 MK1 Universal Carrier. This has been nearly 7 years of on and off restoration. When I got it it was a pile of parts that someone had started in the process and I took it from there.

A four-banger to move all that?!

I suppose that plate isn't all that thick, but still, it seems underpowered.

Is it "sluggish" underway?

They have a V8 flathead ford, 85HP , I think. We restored one several years ago for a customer, and installed a late model 302 Ford V8, at his request. That made a significant improvement
