Unknown rubber part found in the street by my truck.

Anyone know what this part is it might have come from a neighbor's vehicle but it also might have fallen off my truck.

It does, but the ones I've dealt with pop in and aren't threaded.

It has traces of paint. Are the paint traces CARC?

CARC is the type of paint our gear gets from the military. Chemical Agent Resistant Coating.

If a your truck has **ever** even been looked at by a private with a paint gun, you have CARC on every piece of it that isn't glass....

Mine are rubber with threads so they unscrew out of the face of the cap. Rather than trying to pry them out and the whole cap face breaks during cold temps or the rubber gets hard

That's Carc paint.

It might take a while, but I'd look for an opening that the plug would fit into.

Check the engine oil fill plugs on all yours and the neighbors civy vehicles.

I don't think this is from anything on an LMTV. I've taken almost the entire damn truck apart, and never seen one of those on mine.

I keep coming back to the picture, to look. I have seen a cap like that. Where? I simply can not remember. But its on the edge of my burned out brain. Will keep looking. No part # on it?
