It's that time again. Time to honor Veterans of all services and all eras.

Columbus, Georgia will have our Veterans Day Parade on Saturday 12 November 2016 at 10:00hrs.

I have to turn the list of vehicles participating in our group in to the organizers by Friday, 28 October so if anyone wants to bring their own vehicle I need to know by tomorrow evening. I'm sorry for the late notice but I have been swamped since returning from the GMVR.

The CAMO group has downsized many of our vehicles but I will have a list posted by tomorrow evening of which vehicles will need drivers.

I will update this thread daily or as needed.

I've pretty much got the list of CAMO vehicles participating but haven't received any word if anyone else is bringing a vehicle. I have to turn the list in tomorrow afternoon and when that's done I can't change it.

If anyone else is bringing a vehicle I need to know ASAP.:jumpin:

I plan on driving an M818 with PAtracys trailer. I will bring it to the compound for Drew to haul home if he drives his truck down.

I can drive the 818 I am bringing or anything left that needs a driver.

I will be there, and can drive anything, but would like the K18.

I'm available to drive whatever or I can bring General Non-Sense, your choice. I would prefer to drive the M151, I didn't get around to it at the rally.

Okay I was told it was the 5th which was a no go for me. The 12th changes things a bit.

The new M1008 will be coming down to visit Zout either with me or 73M819. If I come down I would be towing the M1009 with the M1008, thus both trucks would be there.

But alas at this time I have not gotten a pass from the base commander to do anything yet.

OK...so far it looks like Ferro will bring an M818 Tractor and Swiss will bring a CUCV, I'll add them to the list.

I'll post the list of vehicles and which ones need drivers sometime Sunday the 30th.

By the way, CAMO, CTR, and the Georgia Mafia will be having our combined Veterans Day/Thanksgiving Day meal after the parade just like last year. If you leave hungry it's your fault! Everything will be provided but if you have a special dish/treat you would like to share please bring it.

For anyone who enjoys alcohol please BYOB BUT!! I will NOT allow anyone to leave the Compound if I think you are not safe/legal to drive...and you all know I will have LEO presence before, during, and after the Parade and I WILL have them hog tie you and not let you go until you are legal.:rules::recovry4x4:

Good thing I have Lee!!! She does not drink so I'll stick to the old Army Standard of 2 beers during lunch! The Tahoe will be piloted by a capable and sober road partner! We practice a "Zero Tolerance" policy anytime the boy's are involved in a method of conveyance!

Turned in the Parade Permit today. Looks like 12 vehicles rolling just from CAMO. I'll post the list Sunday and folks can pick whatever vehicle they are comfortable driving.

We have downsised about 45% this year so as not to be redundant...hey...one deuce/5ton looks pretty much like the next one unless it's modified. Besides, I've gotten rid of nearly 1/2 of my stuff.

BUT!! If you want to come and participate do it....There's plenty of room to ride!!

OH...and as usual, I reserve the right to disallow participation by anyone I think is improperly attired or wearing anything I feel is demeaning to our Veterans, our Country, or our flag. This includes flags that are controversial, emblems, patches.....you get the idea...or I will be glad to school you.:rules:

This is a patriotic event and maybe my favorite of the year. Let's : :grd:

Sorry I've taken so long to get back to this thread but alot has gone on behind the scene and some vehicles had to be dropped because I never got confirmation etc.

Anyhoo...Here is the list of vehicles in march order along with drivers...or "Open" if a driver is needed. If you just want to ride and participate that is fine too.

1. 1944 MB Command Jeep-----------------Helldiverharry (Harry)

2. 1941 WC-22 Weapons Carrier-----------MDMORGANWIFE (Mahala)

3. 1941 K18C Commo Truck-----------------EMD5679 (John)

4. 1953 M38A1 Air Force Jeep--------------Redlegminuteman (Carl)

5. 1962 FAV Ranger Jeep-------------------FAVVIKING (Troy)

6. 1962 M718 Ambulance-------------------MDMORGAN (Daniel)

7. 1974 M813 "Ugly Ranger" Guntruck-----73M819 (Ron)

8. 1965 M35A2 Cargo Truck----------------Colton

9. 1972 M151A2 W/Trailer------------------Sandcobra (Joe)

10. 1974 M818 Tractor----------------------Ferro (Adam)

11. 1965 M54 A1 "Proud American" Guntruck--Tony

I know this is only about half of what we fielded last year but as I said above, many things have happened and this is about all we have time to prep for the Parade.

If you ARE SURE you are coming and want to drive an "OPEN" vehicle let me know quick....first come, first served.

More details will be posted later.:papabear:

Just a suggestion IFS...if ya have something Zout2 can drive ..... she can pack up Connie in to ride with her while the rest of the gals ride in something else.
She said that would be fine with her to help.
