VIC-1 power draw

Can anyone tell me how many amps a complete intercom setup (no radio) with 4 stations would draw? I am trying to figure out what size power converter I need to run this in a 12v vehicle.

The circuit breaker on the 1780 is rated 1.5 amps and it supplies power to all stations as well.

Wouldn't that translate into twice that many amps for 12VDC, because of the the VIC amp being 24 VDC? If volts go down, amps go up the opposite amount?
