Hi, I purchased an M49 tanker truck fron the US Forest Service at a Michigan DNR auction in Marquett, MI. on 22 jul 1994.

I also recently purchased seven M35A2's from a Gov Liqiudation auction. They were located at Indiana National Guard - Stout Field Armory in Indianapolis indiana. 2002 South Holt Rd. 46241, also called Drexel Gardens on the auction listing location.

I then gathered 8 volunteers and we convoyed them up to Michigan a couple of weeks ago. You probably saw the story about it in this site. I'll also post the info on all these trucks. if you could look them up it would be great.

Hi Carnac, Can I give it a try? I bought this deuce out of Camp Beauregard, Alexandria, LA in 7/2008. I'm trying to get info for the SF97 and I have no idea what year this vehicle is. The guy at GL couldn't help me and actually suggested that I look at the taillight lenses on the truck (last two digits on the amber colored plastic = year of manufacture?). Hmm.... not sure about that. So here is the VIN. Can anyone help me with year of manufacture?
